Green’s restaurant, located in Barcelona, has just undergone a radical change of image thanks to the comprehensive and tailor-made renovation by the architect Cristina Ortega.
The place has gone from 100 to 300m2 and is now characterized by its different areas: a cafeteria for breakfast in the morning, a restaurant area and a space to enjoy a wonderful evening.
From Dajor, we manufactured custom lighting for this project, in which we particularly emphasized the vintage pendants that hang over the iconic counter bar of Green’s bar, which gives the restaurant its name. This bar, made of tiles in different shades of green, matches with the pendants’ brass effect finish of the pendants, which are composed of a small cylinder and a rigid seat post. The finish also matches the stools’ style.
The objective of this project was to develop the lighting project that best suit the functionality and style of each of Green’s spaces.
We also created the so-called “Forest of Lights”, a large space made with black cylindrical luminaires in different sizes that create a spectacular play of light reflected in the ground.
Finally, for the main hall and the cocktail bar, we manufactured a beautiful and sophisticated tree-shaped lamp with a body finished in gold paint and striped glass balls. On the other hand, we also made the bathroom fixtures, formed by two balls, which are also made of scratched glass and a vintage finish to match the railway wagon appearance of the toilets.
