Last June, the emblematic Madrid restaurant “La Canica” closed temporarily to do a facelift and reform of its premises.
From Dajor Lighting Factory, as we did with the inaugural restaurant, we take care of the manufacture of decorative lamps and luminaires, offering a new image, but without losing the essence of “La Canica” restaurant. High ceilings, large windows, comfortable sofas and shelves full of books characterize this new consolidated space in Madrid’s gastronomy.
For the second floor dining room, we custom made a fringed chevron domed fabric shade ceiling lamps. These vintage lamps are inspired by our Helena and Hebe pendant lamps by Luz Vintage, but with much larger diameters, reaching almost 100cm. The same happened with other pendant lamps, inspired by Luz Vintage Pagoda lampshade, the Jasmina pendant lamp with a fringed chevron, but with a diameter of 100cm. These luminaires in these sizes combine very well with high ceilings and create warm and relax spaces. In addition, they allow a suspension at a great height, which is ideal for correctly lighting the tables without dazzling or disturbing the diners.
We complement the lighting with ceiling panels for the bar counter and glass balls ceiling lamps with a golden fretwork to give the place elegance and clarity, accentuated by the large windows
