The Hotel Gloria de Sant Jaume is located in the commercial street of Sant Jaume, in the heart of Palma de Mallorca, in an old and elegant Majorcan manor house. The hotel’s remodeling works respected most of the materials and designs of the old building in order to achieve an elegant and distinguished interior design and let guests travel to the ancient aristocratic Mallorca.
Dajor Lighting Factory took care of the decorative luminaires manufacture for the entire hotel. This project consisted in the design and manufacture of vintage and sophisticated elements that were consistent with the architecture and design of the Gloria Hotel.
For the front desk area, we manufactured large ceiling lamps of geometric structure with a blown glass tulip. Likewise, for the dining room we made luminaires with a shiny brass structure with smooth and striped glass balls in two versions: a ceiling lamp and a pendant branched lamp.
The rooms are decorated with a vintage style, which matches perfectly the Art Nouveau influences of the architecture. This is essentially achieved by the table lamps and floor lamps with black and gold bell, as well as other, more classic, table lamps with cream-colored lampshades and gold gloss bases. For the bathrooms, we designed elongated wall lights with nickel finish and scratched glass to illuminate the mirrors. These luminaires combine perfectly with the marble and light colors of the bathroom.
The whole project has been manufactured with great care, exquisiteness and top quality, core principles in Dajor Lighting Factory’s philosophy.
