On the Paseo de “La Castellana” in Madrid last September opened its doors the new hotel of the Hilton brand: Canopy by Hilton Castellana. In the heart of the Azca financial district and just five minutes from the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, the Hotel Canopy by Hilton reflects all the luxury and business values of the Hilton brand, but adding an urban and rebellious touch. The project was directed by the interior designer Jaime Beriestain.
From Dajor Lighting Factory we take care of the custom manufacturing of most of the hotel’s decorative lighting, with the rebellious and urban touch that characterizes the Canopy brand: for the hotel restaurant we manufacture custom vintage industrial-style lamps that perfectly reflect those values. We placed some vintage ceiling lights with opal glass balls and a shiny copper finish to match with the original design wall sconces in the shape of a pipe in an aged brass finish that harmonize very well with the white brick walls and ceilings in noble wood.
As it is a hotel very focused on the financial and business, the meeting and conference rooms needed custom lighting in accordance with those values, adding to them the elegance and luxury that characterize the Hilton. For one of the meeting rooms, at Dajor Lighting Factory we custom-made a large ceiling lamp with a laser-cut triangular metal structure and four glass balls at each angle. It is a very elegant luminaire, suspended in the center of the room that produces a soft warm light that adds a certain air of relaxation to the formality of the room.
We also custom manufacture the rest of the pendant lamps in the other meeting rooms and libraries, with metal structure ceiling lamps in an aged brass finish to give it a vintage touch along with opal glass balls in black and gold finish. This ceiling lamp distributes the light evenly and in a very elegant way to create an original play of light with a certain relaxing touch in the meeting room.
For the rooms and suites, in Dajor Lighting custom-manufacture bedside table lamps with a geometric metal structure in various finishes and an opal glass ball and other models with a classic-vintage design bedside table lamp, with metallic golden lampshade. To light the mirrors in the toilets, we custom-made wall sconces with a small crystal ball displaced from the metal support with an original vintage design.
